If the student’s progress does not improve after their probationary period, he/she will lose financial aid eligibility until they have reached acceptable levels of academic progress. By the end of that semester, he/she must bring their GPA and completion percentage to the level required. If a student has not achieved the necessary SAP, he/she will be given one semester of academic probation. Additionally each student must maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00. This measurement is taken cumulatively to include all courses attempted at Quincy College. In order to maintain SAP, students must complete 67% of the courses they attempt. This academic progress is measured twice each school year. In order to remain eligible for financial aid, students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Students should apply for financial aid early and respond to all requests for additional information in a timely fashion. Financial Aid is intended to supplement the student and parent(s) contribution to the costs of college and is based on financial need. However, it is important to remember that the amount of financial aid a student is eligible for may not cover all of the costs associated with their education.

Quincy College recognizes the importance of finding the necessary resources to finance education for students. Most students receive an aid package that combines several different types of assistance.Įach year approximately 50% of the student body receives some type of financial assistance. Financial aid is available through federal and state grants, scholarships, loans and work study programs. The Quincy College Financial Aid Office determines the financial aid available to eligible students based on the information provided in their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and counsels them through the financial aid process. You will also receive a letter detailing the amount you received.

Once your file is complete, Quincy College will review your application and award your Financial Aid if you qualify for aid. The Financial Aid process takes 4-6 weeks.
